A Bright Seaside Kitchen in Sheringham, Norfolk
This handmade kitchen sits within a thoughtfully designed new extension in the charming seaside town of Sheringham, Norfolk. The space is south facing, allowing soft natural light to pour in throughout the day, a quality that truly brings the kitchen to life and makes it a pleasure to be in.

Our brief was to create something timeless and practical that felt at home by the coast. The result is a light and uplifting space, finished in carefully chosen colours by Fenwick & Tilbrook, shades that work beautifully with the character of the house and the seaside surroundings. The cabinetry is classic and unfussy, with an emphasis on craftsmanship, natural materials and a sense of calm.

The layout is centred around a generous island, which provides additional preparation space, informal seating and plenty of storage beneath. A traditional dresser offers further storage.

We incorporated a beautiful Shaws Belfast sink, a feature that adds to the heritage feel, and all appliances are fully integrated, including the fridge, freezer, bin and dishwasher, allowing the cabinetry to remain the focus. Careful attention was given to the flow of the room, the usability of each zone and how the kitchen connects with the rest of the house.

As with all our projects, this kitchen was designed, built and installed by hand using sustainable materials and traditional joinery techniques. While we take great care with every detail, the aim is always to create something that feels easy to live with, something that will age gracefully and serve well for years to come.
